 LaDane Williamson of Brunswick County, North Carolina is a graduate of Shallotte High School and of Duke University. Among her extended training certifications she has enjoyed holding a Commercial Multi-engine Instrument License for Airplane with Jet Certification. In 1973 LaDane was elected Mayor of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina and served until 1987. Concurrently, and still today, she remains actively involved in Regional and Statewide affairs serving on numerous Boards in both North Carolina and New York.

| Her commitment to educational opportunities has inspired her to serve on the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, Board of Visitors and the Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment Board of Visitors. LaDane Williamsom established and funded a Scholarship program at Brunswick Community College of North Carolina where she has paid full tuition for 723 students. |
Since her graduation from Duke University, LaDane has and continues to be owner and manager of retail service businesses and a developer of residential and commercial developments in Brunswick County, North Carolina.
LaDane has been awarded numerous recognitions. She is the receipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award, an Honorary Member of the New York City Police Honor Legion, and recognized for an Award of Appreciation as a participating CEO at the United States Military Academy, West Point. Naming honors include the LaDane Williamson Environmental Health Wing at Duke University, the LaDane Williamson Christian Education Center at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City and The LaDane Williamson Student Center at Brunswick County Community College.
LaDane established The LaDane Foundation in 2000 as a United States 501c(3) organization and works to make life changes for people of need with Foundation resources. The Foundation partners with churches and other foundations working internationally. The LaDane Foundation is also a Governmental Licensed NGO in Nicaragua and in Guatemala of Central America.
LaDane has three children--Frasier, Kendra, and Nadia
She has four grandchildren--Ciara, Natalie, Ava, and Charlotte
